Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 61,793 Land Rovers because some of the passenger-side air bags don’t deploy due to faulty air bag software. The recall is expected to take place on April 17th and consumers can take their vehicles to their dealers for a free software update.
One of their company spokesmen has responded by saying ““Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to the customer during the short time required for the work to be carried out.”
This recall is the latest in a string of air bag recalls. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV, Honda Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. have all recalled vehicles earlier this year due to issues with air bags.
